Del Rio High School Shattered Dreams Mock Crash
A realistic drunk driving drill at Del Rio High School drew about 2,000 students as 23 community agencies staged a fatal crash. Andrea Ortiz portrayed a victim, and Ryan Garza played the drunk driver. Emergency crews, police, and a Border Patrol helicopter responded as Ortiz was pronounced dead.
