Street Beat 2000 Festival Benefits CART and Teen Center
Street Beat Music Festival 2000 will be held Saturday March 25 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m at the Wal-Mart parking lot. The free family event in Del Rio features 15 artists from cities including Houston San Antonio San Angelo Laredo and Dallas Fort Worth with genres from country and tejano to rap and rock. Proceeds fund CART for a new Del Rio Teen Center. portions recorded for a compilation CD by an international label.

Circus Chimera debuts in Queen City at Del Rio Civic Center
Circus Chimera opens today at the Del Rio Civic Center in Queen City, a multi country two hour show by United Civic Organization. The production features top international acts from nine countries, a magical toy box story, Broadway choreography, and a commissioned score. Performances are 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Three killed in Irving car wash robbery overnight
IRVING AP Three men were fatally shot and three others wounded during an apparent overnight robbery at a Mi-T-Fine car wash. An arriving employee found the scene at about 7 40 am. Police said a robbery motive is possible and the victims were taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas in critical condition. The company declined comment.
