Del Rio officials report a surge in drug smuggling after four major seizures over seven days. Four suspects—Jaime Burciaga, Kelly Campbell, Manuel Munoz, and David Regalado—were jailed, with over 181000 dollars in marijuana seized. Burciaga drove a pickup with 46.7 pounds of marijuana found in a spare tire, Campbell had cocaine marijuana and mushrooms in a purse, Munoz was linked to 69 pounds of marijuana in a new car, and Regalado's car yielded 65 pounds of marijuana hidden under seats and doors.
