Roberto V. Sifuentez led with 363 votes in a 753 total, Ramiro V. Ramon 339, Elguezabal 51, forcing a April runoff. Ramon blamed low turnout and vowed intensive voter contact while praising a clean campaign. Sifuentez said he would maintain current strategies and begin runoff prep immediately.

In Tuesday's Democratic Primary Joey Gonzalez captured the unexpired term for Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 with 444 votes to Freddie McDonald’s 134. A runoff in mid April will decide Constable Precinct 2 between Arturo Vann Trevisio and Jaime D. Guzman after neither reached 50 percent. Gonzalez did not comment. See RACES, P. 5
