Two Del Rioans jailed for distributing illegal drugs
Artie Factor, 28, of 200 Avante St, and Tamara Evans, 24, of 208 E Fourth St, were taken into custody Friday night by Department of Public Safety narcotics officers on charges of selling marijuana and methamphetamine. They were arraigned before Peace Justice Felix Barrera, bonds set at $5000 and $2500 respectively, and remained in Val Verde County Jail.

Rape suspects released on bonds in Lake Amistad case

Mrs. Ella D. Kirby, 89, died Monday in a rest home. She lived at 1401 Ave. B. The body is at Humphreys-Doran Funeral Home and will be moved to Lampasas Funeral Home. Rites tentatively set for Thursday at 10 a.m. in First United Methodist Church Lometa with burial Lometa Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters Edith Harris of Del Rio and Virginia Owens of Lometa, a sister Sally Kirby of Del Rio, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
