Justo Perez Rabado of Ciudad Acuna died of hypothermia after abandoning a stalled pontoon boat to fetch a fallen gas tank on Lake Amistad's Mexican side. Two passengers, Edward Meza of Del Rio and Esteban Mansanares of Ciudad Acuna, reached shore safely. search and rescue crews recovered the body later and authorities from the NPS, sheriff, Border Patrol, and customs assisted.
