Del Rio Police Department Captain Manuel Manny Herrera retired Friday after 33 years with the department. The Del Rio native, a 1979 Del Rio High School graduate, began as a police officer on January 23, 1984. He spoke of mixed feelings, pride in the career, and will miss the officers he has known for years.
