The Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande received an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act National Emergency Grant to aid Maverick and Val Verde counties with on the job training and related services for workers facing layoffs. Del Rio community theatre The Upstagers present the award winning Greater Tuna free to the public at Broke Mill RV Park Theatre on March 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. The performances support the Texas Nonprofit Theatres State festival in Fort Worth March 16-19. Del Rio Middle School sent seventh and eighth graders to Kirby Middle School San Antonio for the South Texas Academics and Literary League Tournament of Champions.
