Dominguez Graduates Texas DPS Academy In Austin
George Dominguez of Del Rio graduated from a 23 week Texas DPS Training Academy ceremony at the LBJ Auditorium in Austin with Gov. Ann Richards as speaker. He will join the Highway Patrol in Corpus Christi among 129 trooper codes in the cohort. Zapata County Judge Jose Luis Guevara was convicted of official corruption for allowing a simulated cocaine-loaded flight to land at the county airport, found guilty on six counts by a federal jury after under four hours of deliberation.

County meeting eyed grant to aid battered women center
