Washington reports the Nixon administration urged Congress to extend the 1965 Voting Rights Act with a nationwide ban on literacy tests and state residency requirements for presidential voting. Sunday Tour to Benefit Whitehead Memorial Museum
Fifteen sites will be visited on a Sunday historical pilgrimage from two to five p.m. to raise funds for Whitehead Memorial Museum.
