Brackettville seeks water use cut as wells fall
Brackettville residents are urged to curtail water use amid dry weather and a daily drop of about one foot in city wells. Utilities supervisor Frank Sanchez says conservation may meet needs and no hauling is needed. Lawn watering is limited to 8 to 10 pm and cemetery water will be shut off until conditions improve. Brackettville sources water from the Edwards Reservoir on the Nueces River. past shortages in 1963-64 and 1978 are recalled.

Firehouse to offer summer classes for children
Del Rio Council for the Arts launches summer sessions at the Firehouse starting July 7 with courses for ages 4 to 14.
