Diablo East Marina opens gas station at Amistad Lake
The Diablo East boat ramp at Amistad Lake sees the start of marina services with an aquatic gas station, six days a week hours from 7 am to 7 pm except Wednesdays. New concessionaire Larry Volz plans slips, a dive shop, air tanks and rentals to expand offerings after a yearlong closure and local protests.

Gutsy skiers to perform at Amistad Dam show today
The Sunland Ski Team will again perform at Lake Amistad at 1 30 p m after Saturday's windy delay. Winds up to 21 mph disrupted the planned seven person pyramid and some stunts. Spectators may view from the visitors center area while parts of the area near the dam are closed noon to 4 p m for boating restrictions. Del Rican Pam Clark, a clown in the act, rode on a skier and engaged in a gun battle before being toppled by a blast and rescued by an Amistad Navy boat. Sponsors include Del Rio National Bank Del Rio Bank and Trust First Savings and Loan Amistad Savings and Loan Coors Distributors and the Amistad Navy with assistance from the National Parks Service and U S Coast Guard.
