Central Power and Light Company announces broad rate reductions expected to save customers about 1 million dollars annually. New Gas Fields May Be Found In Half Of Nation
Washington June 20 A survey of potential gas producing areas suggests new gas fields could be found in about half the nation. Hugh D. Miser, chief of the Bureau of Mines division, said additions exploration might develop fields in the Llano Estacado region of northwest central Texas and northeastern New Mexico, the Trans-Pecos region of West Texas, the Anderko Basin of western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.

Dallas Banks Adopt Blanket Participation in RFC Loans
More than 30 percent of the 655 banks in the Dillon Reconstruction Finance Corporation have blanket participation agreements with the RFC and have loaned 9.65 million dollars under the agreements. Many banks could not have made loans without RFC participation, ranging from 1,000 to 350,000 dollars. RFC insures up to five percent of any loan that complies with the blanket participation agreement.
