Third body found in Rio Grande drowning case
Javier Reyna Lozano, 23, of Ciudad Acuna, identified as the drowning victim after a search that also recovered two other bodies in the Rio Grande near Amistad Dam. Lozano, who vacationed with his wife Patricia and others, drowned Sunday while picnicking on the Mexican riverbank. Funeral plans are tentative for Thursday in Ciudad Acuna.

Copeland resigns from Val Verde Hospital Board
George Copeland announced his resignation from the Val Verde County Hospital District board in a letter dated June 12 read at Tuesday's regular meeting held at Val Verde Memorial Hospital. He has been transferred to the Eagle Pass offices of Texas Apparel. The board will discuss a replacement at the July 15 meeting.
