New York AP reports stocks moved lower with the blue chip sector sagging. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 8.20 points to 1,863.57 at midday on Wall Street.
Class makes last call for reunion registrations for the Del Rio High School Class of 1946 on June 27 28 and 29. Call 775-3129 or 775-8877 to register now. The FBI Seminar at the Del Rio Civic Center draws record attendance. Crime Stoppers meets Wednesday at noon at Ramada Inn. An oriental cooking class, free, will be held this week on Thursday.
The Seminole Indian Scout Association in Brackettville plans a June 19 celebration with a parade and concession booths. The public is invited to attend. Menefee Lucke, a former Del Rio resident now living in Nederland, Texas, visits for a few days and is active in local civic work. He helped build a Dutch windmill replica and a French house display and aided in memorials for Tex Ritter. He remains engaged with the Nederland Chamber of Commerce and is a past president.
The district will raise kindergarten class sizes by one, shift excess cost class attendees to regular classes with a 22-to-1 student teacher ratio and a teacher’s aide, and extend aides to bilingual first and second grades. Three teachers will be recommended for gifted and talented roles to provide enrichment at two elementary campuses, collaborating with regular and middle school teachers.

Visitation tonight 6 to 8 pm at Humphreys Doran Funeral Home. survivors include wife Bella, son Henry of Irving, Texas, grandchildren Lynette and Richard, brother Silberio Garcia of Odi California.
Fred Rose reports his AM FM cassette deck equalizer and two speakers valued at 607.90 stolen from a pickup between June 6 and June 10. Maria De Jesus Becerra reports hubcaps and a fender skirt valued at 180 stolen from her car parked at Arranaga Foodway on Avenue F.
