Sniper Case Hero Has Narrow Escape
A Houston narcotics agent Ramiro Martinez, famed for his 1966 Tower shooting stand at the University of Texas, narrowly escaped a man running him down with a car during a 15 minute chase at speeds up to 100 mph. He and two DPS officers shot out tires and arrested the suspect, Alejandro Lozano, on heroin possession.
