Dr Sosa Announces Move from Del Rio to Michigan

Dr. Sosa closes office at 217 E Martin Del Rio and relocates to Belding near Grand Rapids Michigan. He joins Sonia Montcalm Medical Society in Greenville and United Memorial Hospital staff with surgical privileges, plans to begin practice July 1, transferring records on request.

Intern Joins MRGDC Staff for Summer Work

David Ochoa 20 a San Antonio native and Southwest Texas State University senior joins the Middle Rio Grande Development Council as a summer intern. He will draft a nine county area financial report and earn academic credit while undergoing periodic faculty evaluation. Langtry and Comstock approve school consolidation plan

Voters in Comstock and Langtry back merging Langtry common schools with the Comstock Independent School District. The overall vote is 47 for to 4 against with Langtry 27 0 and Comstock 20 to 4. The merger starts in 1971 72 with transportation arranged.

Littrell Taken For Examination In Murder Case

Timothy Strell, 22, charged with murder, was taken to San Antonio for psychiatric exams. Deputy Calvin Wallen and Trooper Arthur Gonzales escorted Littrell to Dr. Ernesto Fernandez. The murder charge stems from the November 1970 death of 4 year old Bobby Lavonn Ice. Trial set for July 6 in the 63rd District Court.

Cloud Seeders Claim Success Over San Angelo

Meteorology Research Inc reports success from cloud seeding in the San Angelo region with silver iodide. Ten seeding missions Tuesday produced brief rainfall in El Dorado and Big Lake, but overall Texas showers complicate attribution to seeding. The firm participates in Operation Tea Drop with four aircraft to be deployed further.
