Public hearing set for July 12 on appraisal district budget
Val Verde County Appraisal District members reviewed the 1993 audit and examined the proposed 1995 budget of 395,995, up 16,935 from 1994. About 51,000 of 1993 funds were unspent and will be refunded to taxing entities based on budget shares. The budget includes nine positions with 181,579 for 1995 salaries and a 5 to 10 percent raise for staff. A public budget hearing is July 12 at 5:30 p.m. at 1301 Ave. G with a board vote about 6 p.m.
