Brutal ax murder shocks North Texas town
Betty Gore, a 30 year old housewife in Wylie Texas, was killed with a three foot ax in her home. Her husband Allen Gore was away in Minnesota on business when neighbors discovered the body. The crime scene included footprints in blood and an apparent attempt to wash away evidence. The murder weapon was the Gore family ax. Neighbors described the town as stunned as families kept children indoors.

Probation Revocation Hearing Set for 20-Year-Old Del Rican

Del Rioan rape trial set for Monday in 63rd District Court
A 16 year old Del Rioan Tracy Andrew Brown faces a jury trial Monday at 9 a.m. in 63rd District Court on charges of rape and burglary with intent to commit rape stemming from a January 20 incident and a February 6 burglary in the San Jose Projects. Brown, certified to stand trial as an adult, will be defended by Humberto Garcia and Ruben Salazar. Several other arraignments are planned for the same session, including Don Steward charged with beating his father in law to death, Armando Lomas charged with a March 9 murder, and four others facing theft and burglary counts.
