Lebovitz announces Houston firm C&W Manhattan Associates joins Arlen Shopping Centers in developing Plaza Del Sol on a 35 acre site on U.S. Highway 90 West across from Chevrolet Drive Del Rio. The venture partners plan an enclosed air conditioned 300000 square foot shopping mall with major department store anchors and about 40 specialty shops.

Explosion Triggers Evacuation Of Del Rio Bank
A short in a bank basement caused an explosion and fire at the Del Rio National Bank forcing evacuation for a second time in three days. No injuries were reported as fire units quickly contained the blaze and清 personnel left the building after smoke was cleared.
