Guerrillas Attack Hue Under Marines Nose

Guerrillas fired a 50 round mortar barrage on Hue as U S Marines pushed to clear the city. One American was slightly injured, while air strikes targeted North Vietnam and a Soviet Phantom was shot down. Four Marines were killed and 21 wounded in other actions as Viet Cong pressure persisted around the historic Hue city.

Death Toll Rises In U S Liberty Ship Attack
