Coahuila Chief Listed Serious After Gunfight Escape
Coahuila state police chief Raul Lemuel Burciaga was shot in the abdomen during a failed capture of three penitentiary escapees. The gunmen were involved in a February bank robbery in Nueva Rosita and the ensuing prison break and shootout, which killed the prison director. His brother Hector Burciaga heads the Ciudad Acuna investigations division.
