Richard Deicke Funeral Services Scheduled Monday

Rites for Richard Deicke 86 will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Doran Chapel. Burial follows at 4 p.m. in Lavernia Texas. Deicke died Wednesday night at his home 307 West Dignowity Street. He was born December 26 1882 in Texas and was a retired carpenter and painter. Survived by his widow Velia Deicke of Del Rio and other relatives.

Retired Newsman Ken Hand Sr Dies in Dallas

Ken Hand Sr. aged 64, longtime newspaperman and former editor of The Dallas Times Herald Action Line, died in a Dallas hospital after years of emphysema. A Parsons Kansas native, he came to The Times Herald in 1966 from Pittsburg Kansas where he edited the Pittsburg Sun. He lived in Arlington prior to his death.
