Retired El Paso Editor Pooley Dies at 71

M Ome Pooley longtime El Paso Herald-Post editor died at home Wednesday night at 71 after a career starting in 1926 with the Houston Press and ending 26 years as editor of the Herald-Post. He faced a prior vice hearing moment when a witness questioned payoffs. Born February 4 1898 in Milton Florida he served as a World War I flier and later worked as a bank clerk before joining the Houston Press then the Houston Post and Herald-Post in El Paso.
