Salinas claimed the funds would cover Citizens State Bank stock Salinas held as security on an $866,250 loan. John testified the plane belonged to Salinas Bensal Corp and Carrizo Springs bank had no security interest in it for the loan.
In Kermit Texas a growing sink hole swallowed pasture walls collapsed into water and oil in the bottom. Officials closed FM 115 and shut off an oil pipeline as cracks neared the road. The hole, about 150 yards long and 80 yards wide, expanded rapidly with no injuries reported.
A two day Del Rio reunion for the Class of 1970 is planned for June 13 and 14 with a barbecue on Saturday. The organizing group invites parents, members, and teachers to attend the gathering and reconnect in a community event.
