SAN ANTONIO AP The Brooks Air Force Base dedicated a World War I era hangar as a museum honoring Ed White the first American to walk in space on June 3 1965. The tribute recalled his space walk and exuberance as the world shared in the achievement. White died in a spacecraft fire at Cape Kennedy in January 1967.
