Olga Gutierrez wife of Del Rio mayor Dr. Alfredo Gutierrez credits a positive attitude with aiding her breast cancer recovery. Diagnosed in 1992 she had a mastectomy at Baptist Memorial Hospital in San Antonio and underwent nine courses of chemotherapy. She says she was lucky and urges patients to stay positive.
