Blaze Triggers Gas Tank Explosion Near Wildcat Drive
A Wednesday fire of unknown origin near Wildcat Drive and Cantu Road caused a butane tank blast that heavily damaged a pickup and trailer owned by D and D Fabrication Co. Fire Chief Howard Baughman said the blast knocked down a volunteer firefighter and a spokesman noted Robert Wilson was knocked back three feet but not hurt. The driver reported the fire started in the moving vehicle.
