Cordova: PreK and kindergarten programs stay full amid funding cuts
Mary Cordova, director of the district Early Childhood Program, told the board the preK and kindergarten will operate at full strength with about five percent less funding this year. The district will still serve 194 students, with some staffing funded by Head Start funds and paraprofessionals replacing some teachers. The program is set to receive 364,523 dollars, including 17,213 for bilingual instruction, for 2003-2004.
