Police report a string of thefts and break ins across Del Rio. 13 lounge chairs were stolen from Springdale Apartments between midnight and 2 a.m. Saturday. A resident reported two tires and two rims removed from a fenced yard between Thursday and Friday. A car was entered Tuesday with $465 of property stolen. A purse, $150, and a $300 ring were taken from a car parked outside a home between 9 and 10 p.m. Saturday. A coin machine at Desert Hills Motel was attempted at 3 a.m. Saturday, and two tires were slashed at Plaza del Sol Mall midweek.

A WWII AT4 trainer returning from a Confederate Air Force air show crashed in a cropland near San Angelo. Pilot Kate Webster of Odessa and passenger D J Wilson of San Angelo perished. Brackettville man freed on bond after stabbing
