Del Rio Officials Hear Flood Mitigation Plan Proposals

Del Rio and Val Verde County officials held a Tuesday public hearing on a joint Hazard Mitigation Plan aimed at reducing flood risk and other hazards. Del Rio to get pancake palace near mall and hotels

International House of Pancakes aims to open a Del Rio location by December 1 with 180-seat capacity and 120 to 140 employees hired in October. Brothers Robert and Anthony Kusenberger plan construction starting in August near the mall and hotels, targeting 6 am to 10 pm initially and 24 hours as demand grows.

JCPenney Expansion Nears Opening in Del Rio

JCPenney plans a major Del Rio expansion from 31 000 to 61 000 square feet with a new floor plan and phased move.
