Woman investigated after handicapped child left at home
A 30 year old mother on Bonner Lane is under investigation for child endangerment after an 8 year old handicapped girl was found alone Tuesday afternoon. Deputies and deputies say the child could not speak and wore diapers and is in emergency foster care. No arrest has been made.

Guilty Pleas Reported In State District Court
A Del Rio woman Jessica Michelle Tovar pleaded guilty to theft and was ordered to pay restitution and a $600 fine. She received one year in state jail with probation for three years and monthly payments of $300 toward the fines and restitution. Jewelry taken from Melissa Ann Sotelo was not recovered. Also, Karmel Katrina Mashada of San Antonio pled guilty to 16 of 17 counts of aggregated theft from Laughlin Air Force Base, with a $2,000 fine and two-year state jail term suspended. placed on two-year probation and to surrender to the Val Verde County Sheriff.
