AUSTIN AP Gib Lewis the Texas House speaker was booked on two misdemeanor ethics charges and released on his own recognizance after turning himself in at the Austin central booking desk. He was indicted last Friday by a Travis County grand jury for accepting a gift from the Heard Goggan firm and underreporting it on financial disclosures. if convicted he could face up to 18 months in jail and $3,000 in fines.
