Dead Man Is Identified Near Pyote
A man found near a railroad track east of Pyote is identified by authorities as James E. Green, 32, an itinerant with no home. Police found a sister in Stow and a brother in Eaton who confirmed the identification after an autopsy by Texas and Pacific Railway workers. The body was discovered two miles east of Pyote.

Grandmother and granddaughter die from heater failure
In Wichita Falls a 75 year old grandmother Eva Mae Clines and her 6 year old granddaughter Valerie Clines died from asphyxiation due to a faulty wall heater. Two grandsons ages 10 and 9, Terry and Stanley Clines, remained in critical condition in a local hospital. The father M Y Clines rushed to help, opening windows and turning off the heater.
