County elections filing ends Jan 4 in Val Verde
One week remains for candidates to file for the March 2010 Democratic and Republican primaries. By press time four Republicans and 10 Democrats had filed. Republican Chair Anna Chapman reported four Republican filings including Laura Allen and Dr. Robert C. Overfelt for county judge and Bill Babb and Marion Pat Cole for Justice of the Peace Precinct 3. Democratic Chair Diana Salgado had not provided an update though she had said 10 Democrats had filed by Dec. 18.
