Boys and Girls Club Gym Gets Fresh Look in Del Rio
The Boys and Girls Club of Del Rio gym on De La Rosa Street received a facelift via city crews. Fresh paint, new bleachers, and a concession stand were added. Three bleacher rows took about two and a half weeks to complete. The renovations do not affect the January start of league play at the Joe Ramos Youth and Elderly Center. Mary Rodriguez, executive director, praised the parks and recreation crew for a complete overhaul and a new upstairs office with a bird’s eye gym view. She outlined future space-use ideas and thanked the city for professional work.
