Assistant DA arrested for drunken driving in Del Rio
Charles David Mee, 49, an assistant district attorney in the 63rd/83rd Judicial District Attorney's Office, was arrested Monday night on a driving while intoxicated charge after a traffic stop for a defective headlight. Mee was stopped after an Espinoza patrol unit followed a vehicle with a broken headlamp, and Mee allegedly failed to stop promptly, later stating he did not know why he was being stopped. Police reported cans of alcoholic beverages found in Mee's vehicle and other evidence suggesting impairment.
