Two Injured In Weekend Del Rio Accidents And Robbery Attempts
Over the weekend Del Rio police handled a two car crash at North Main and Seventh Street leaving three people from the car hospitalized at Val Verde Memorial Hospital after a Sunday 8:45 a.m. collision. Mary Maldonado Christina Maldonado and Oscar Cortinas Maldonado were treated and released. An attempted armed robbery at Minit Mart 109 Margarita occurred Sunday 8:21 p.m. with the suspect leaving after no theft. A second armed robbery attempt at Minit Mart 101 W Ney St Saturday 10 p.m. ended with the suspect fleeing after holding a gun on employee Raymond Rios. nothing was stolen.
