Wounded men treated after shootout incident at port of entry
Del Rio police responded to a 6:14 a.m. call reporting two men entering the United States from Mexico after a shootout in Mexico. A Pontiac Trans-Am driver carried them, both men were injured, one with a neck bruise and the other with head injuries. The passenger was treated at Val Verde Regional Medical Center and released.

The Del Rio Bobcat Alumni Association hosted the Texas State University Scholarship Concert at the Paul Pong Theatre drawing music fans for a sold out event. DRBAA members Gilbert Rodriguez Rogelio Gonzalez and Linda Corbell honored Jimmie F. Bradley in the Hall of Fame as Sarah Pfeifer of the Texas State Alumni Association praised DRBAA’s support for students. Bradley, a Texas State graduate, has built an extensive career in law.
