Two Del Rio Men Hurt In Truck Crash
Two Del Rio men were treated for cuts and bruises after a late Wednesday night truck rollover on North Main Street near the Freshman School Annex. John S. Perkins, 29, and Lee Meyer, 18, were listed in good condition at Val Verde Memorial Hospital. Perkins, driving southbound, was cited for failure to control speed after the vehicle left the road, rolled over, and pinned him under the dashboard. Firefighters used the Hurst tool to lift the truck and rescue him.

Burglary Report At Rathke Veterinary Clinic Leads to Theft
Police investigate thefts and vandalism across Del Rio. Ignacio Marrujo, 25, and Javier de La Cerda, 16, remained hospitalized in critical to stable condition after a Dec. 9 car truck collision on Margarita Avenue. Muriel Naber, 31, of Minnesota, stayed in Community Hospital’s surgical ICU as her husband faced a $20,000 bond and remained in Val Verde jail.

Rookie Del Rio patrol officer Rita Abranches returned to duty today after three broken ribs from a two car collision left her patrolling car disabled. She was treated and released from Laughlin Air Force Base Hospital and awaits active patrol duty. George Saucedo, 1002 W Martin, was cited for no license and no insurance and posted a $140 bond. The crash caused $1,400 damage to the patrol car.
