Fitzpatrick ranch oil well yields good grade crude
A. F. Fitzpatrick ranch four in Quemada northeast Maverick County reports a well flowing about 1500 barrels daily. Drilled by Bud Hussey of Dallas, the oil tests 35 to 40 gravity. Maverick County oil fields have many shallow wells with little other drilling in Val Verde.
