Copter Used On Mall Job In Del Rio Plaza
International Helicopter Company of St. Louis installs air conditioning units on the Plaza del Sol mall in Del Rio. A spokesman says the helicopter project took 1% hours, far quicker than a crane method. The mall, to open next year, will host J C Penney Bealls K Mart and others. CBL & Associates and C & W Manhattan Associates developed the site, part of a larger portfolio of 4,066,000 square feet of projects.

Laughlin Class 79-02 Graduation At Academy Theater
Twenty members of Undergrad Pilot Training Class 79-02 at Laughlin AFB will receive their pilot wings Friday at 10 a.m. Brig. Gen. Thomas C. Richards, commandant of cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy Colorado Springs, will deliver the graduation address. Richards, a veteran with 4,200 flight hours and numerous decorations, served in Korea and Vietnam before commanding Raven Forward Air Controllers. Ceremony presiding by Lt. Col. Ronald R. Ellis and awards by Col. Ralph M. Miller. Several graduates will start new assignments at bases including Charleston, Laughlin, and Fairchild.
