Patsy Cooley resigns as Chamber of Commerce manager
Patsy Cooley, longtime chamber manager, announced her resignation to become executive vice president of Inland Marine in Io. She has served five years with the chamber and will leave January 1 after a December board meeting at San Felipe Country Club. The board praised her tenure and approved a seven percent raise for the coming year except for the VOE student. Applications for the chamber manager position will be taken by the executive committee later.

Nearly 200 people attended ceremonies at Laughlin Air Force Base Tuesday as Col Donald F Robillard received the Legion of Merit from Brig Gen Lawrence D Garrison on behalf of Air Training Command Commander Gen John W Roberts. Robillard is base deputy commander Resources Management and was honored for his leadership as commander of the U S Air Force Instrument Flight Center Randolph AFB from July 2 1975 to June 30 1978.
