Laughlin pool access proposal wins Air Force approval
Del Rio physician Dr. Shamoon Doctor led a three year push to allow Del Rio High School to use Laughlin Air Force Base’s Losano Fitness Center pool for competitive swimming. On November 22 Colonel Ted Wolters notified SFROICSD Superintendent Roberto Fernandez that the base would permit high school access to the 25 meter Olympic pool with six lap lanes for training and competition.
