The Whitehead Memorial Museum hosts the 9th annual Christmas Under the Stars food and toy drive Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Proceeds support local families through the holiday season.

Two Eagle Scouts from Troop 280 Del Rio Elks Lodge 837 Townsend from Menard Texas and Ranald from Brackettville Junior High earned the Dr Bernard Harris Supernova Bronze Award after completing three NOVA STEM awards and the Scholarship Merit badge.
