Theft suspect posts bond in Del Rio after warrant
Corpus Christi man Alvin F. Buss was released on a 500 dollar bond from Val Verde County Jail on a theft by check charge. He faces a Travis County warrant and a court date will be set there after the bond is transmitted. Buss, misidentified as Al Bus, moved to Del Rio from Corpus Christi last week and was linked to a housefire that destroyed many belongings.

Border Patrol seeks GS-5 applicants in San Antonio
The Civil Service Commission office of Personnel Management in San Antonio invites applications to take the written exam for the GS-5 Border Patrol agent position with a starting salary of 12 266 dollars. Applicants must be under 35 before active duty and women are encouraged to apply. Del Rio Chamber Plans West Texas Days in San Antonio
The Del Rio Chamber of Commerce moves into planning for the third annual Del Rio West Texas Days exhibition in the Harry Freeman Entertainment Center on Feb 12 in coordination with San Antonio Rural Youth Day and the 1983 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.
