One man died and another was injured in a one car crash on U S Highway 90 West near Studio Green. Robert Wayne Anderson 21 an airman at Laughlin AFB was killed. Francis Michael Clymer 21 a passenger was treated for lacerations and released.

Man Badly Hurt In Car Accident Near Comstock
Robert A. Wolf, 22, of Oceanside California, remained in undetermined condition at Laughlin Air Force Base hospital after his foreign car crashed into a culvert 14 miles west of Comstock on U S Highway 90. He suffered multiple fractures and possible broken back, was moved from Val Verde Memorial Hospital to Laughlin, then to Ilford Hall at Lackland AFB. Wolf, traveling alone about 5 40 a m, reportedly was returning from Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. DPS highway patrolman Donnie Stillwell investigated.
