Del Rio hosts its first UFO convention on January 25, 2014 at the Paul Pong Theatre for the Performing Arts. Rural Texas counties fear impact of water vote

Noise for Toys concert to aid local children
The fourth annual Noise For Toys show at Casa de la Cultura on December 7 from 6 to 11 pm features six bands from San Antonio and Del Rio. Donations of a toy or five dollars grant entry to a night of rock metal and punk to raise funds for area kids. Toys collected will be given at the Casa de la Cultura Posada y Tamalada on December 21 from 3 to 11 pm. The Code 88s and Casa De La Cultura organize the event. The Code 88s have a decade of local activity across Texas and into Mexico.
