Toll toll rises in Texas holiday deaths
United Press reports Texas counted at least 13 traffic deaths and 14 violent deaths over a four day Thanksgiving period. Four children burned in a fire bring fire deaths to nine. Local fatalities include Guadalupe Salinas and Ofelis Salinas in Santa Rosa and two Dallas area children in a gas heater fire. National totals: 438 traffic deaths, 48 fire deaths, 5 plane deaths, 211 other deaths, 602 total. California led with 32 auto deaths, New York 28, and Rhode Island, Nevada, Alaska reported none.
