Fire destroys automobile at used car lot test drive
Two Del Rio firefighters responded to a car fire about 20 miles west of Del Rio early today. A used car owned by Bill Marlin Auto Sales on Gibbs Street caught fire during a test drive on U.S. Highway 90 West around 12:40 a.m. The vehicle was fully involved upon arrival and was destroyed. The cause was not determined. the driver was Julian Gallegos of Odessa. Firefighters returned to G.W. Cox Memorial Fire Station after the car was towed away.

Hobby urges fair districts as redistricting board meets

A two car crash near Plaza del Sol Me left a 76 year old Del Rioan and a Fort Worth woman in Val Verde Memorial Hospital with injuries including a fractured hip.
